Truancy Court Program Social Worker
As the TCP Social Worker, Bonnie Freeman provides counseling and advocacy and makes referrals to service providers for students and families participating in CFCC’s Truancy Court Program. Bonnie is responsible for providing assessment, intervention, and prevention services to assist students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Prior to joining CFCC Bonnie served as Social Worker for the Baltimore City Public Schools System for 27 years, where she attended Truancy Court and worked directly with students in pre-K through high school having problems attending and staying in school and gained extensive experience working to assess and develop in-school intervention in Baltimore City Schools. She received an M.S.W. from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, a M.S. in Educational Psychology from The John’s Hopkins University, and a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
